Our Story

Founded by Seniors, for Seniors

Feature

RoamFieldQX began when our founder, a retired teacher, noticed how many of her peers felt left behind by the digital world. She started small classes in her living room, and word spread quickly about her patient, encouraging approach to technology education.

Our Mission

Bridging the Digital Divide with Compassion

We believe that age should never be a barrier to learning. Technology can enrich lives, help maintain independence, and keep families connected - but only when it's taught with patience and understanding.

Our approach is different from typical computer courses. We recognise that seniors learn differently, need more time to process new information, and benefit from repetition and encouragement. Every lesson is designed with these principles in mind.

Since opening our Dublin centre, we've helped over 500 seniors gain confidence with technology. From sending their first email to video calling grandchildren abroad, we celebrate every milestone with our learners.

How We Work

Our Gentle Learning Approach

Every senior's learning journey is unique. Here's how we ensure everyone succeeds at their own pace.

  1. 01

    Initial Consultation

We start with a friendly chat to understand your goals, experience level, and any concerns. This helps us recommend the right programme and set realistic expectations for your learning journey.

  2. 02

    Comfortable Environment

Our welcoming classroom feels more like a community centre than a traditional school. Comfortable seating, good lighting, and a relaxed atmosphere help you focus on learning without stress.

  3. 03

    Step-by-Step Instruction

We break down complex tasks into simple steps, repeat instructions as needed, and encourage questions. No one moves on until everyone feels confident with each new skill.

  4. 04

    Practice and Support

Hands-on practice time lets you try new skills with guidance nearby. We provide printed guides to take home and offer ongoing support even after your course ends.
